Different lens materials.

Some lenses are designed for continuous operation, others not.

Stick with the lens removed and cleaned every night, are much healthier in the long run.

The full-day lenses are easier on the eyes, because it allows more oxygen to your eyes when compared with old glass. highly recommended for them.
