Set Up D2nt How Do You Set Up A Network For Two Laptops To Share An Internet Connection?

How do you set up a network for two laptops to share an Internet connection? - set up d2nt

Our cable Internet connection has been created on my laptop. Then I bought a wireless router. I have an HP with Windows Vista. My roommate has a Dell laptop for over four years with Windows XP. She wants to connect to the Internet. I have a wireless network to configure the router. What should I do? She tried to "connect you to go" and presented no wireless networks.

I hate to indulge the obvious, but should read the manual of the wireless router, and also set friend maching.

There are too many details to come here. If you are the broadcast network (do not name for security reasons), then it must, gave the network manually by specifying the name - and then you need the security key for WEP or WPA key, which you in configuring the router.

None of us knows the names and passwords, those are things you should have written in your router, configure the operating instructions.

Hi Amanda,

Theres a lot to draw consideration. Distance from a PC to your roommate's important. See (A test to see if they can determine if your wireless router is near him. Might also examine whether theres an error message. With WinXP I am giving this error message: Unable to configure Wndows. ... blah blah ... to click the advanced settings, go to properties and enable wireless "Windows configure the wireless connection (Dell has its own built-in wireless client). Please try again. Let me know and feel free, the IT and back to you as soon as possible.

Good luck!
