Oral Irrigators Are Oral Irrigators Effective?

Are oral irrigators effective? - oral irrigators

I intend to obtain and use oral irrigator instead of floss. I am using dental floss, and tend to reduce chewing gum while doing it horribly, so I think it might be a good alternative. Oral irrigators are as effective as flossing? If you are not working as well as dental floss, I got to floss.

I prefer the hydrofloss, as I believe it to be the most effective oral irrigator.

However, to answer your question. I think it would be unwise to think they are a replacement to flossing. Instead, they are an adjunct to flossing. You should do both. Oral irrigation is something you ADD to your routine, it is not to replace regular flossing.

See my book : What You Should Know about Gum Disease for more good information on improving your dental health and avoiding expensive treatments.

You can use a waterpick, but not entirely give up flossing.

Our dentist says irrigators are not as good as flossing. My husband has used for years and it faithfully. I still had the gum clean from her surgery (including chewing gum cutting, scraping and tricks) recently. The dentist recommends daily flossing.

Tip: Reach Gentle Gum Care is a diffuse form of the silk is easier on the gums. I use it a lot and I like.

Here is their website. Click on the gray bar that says: Reach Gentle Gum Care ...

You can buy in any pharmacy.

Good luck to you.

My husband refuses to floss, he hates it. You use an enema (WATER PIK) and I bought the small brushes.

Here is a picture: http://www.nzdental.co.nz/images/promo/p ...

They are called Piksters Australia and New Zealand.

Here in America, I do not know what is the name, but you can purchase toothbrushes.

Mari said that they are pleasant to use. N gums cut. But do not go below the gum between the teeth alone. Thus, while useful, is not the complete solution.

Oral irrigators should not completely replace flossing. Dental floss is very effective and time dentists recommend, many of them only when oral irrigation have a lot of money by gingivitis or periodontal disease, periodontal disease that in turn could, because the deepest pockets, the more difficult it is to use dental floss to there to obtain a safe haven for bacteria.

They are good, but outside of the dental floss. Dental floss is very important, even if it once or twice a week is better than none. I know it is painful, but necessary.

Why not let her open mouth in the shower. Rich Ivana Trump in her book and recommend it. You still have to floss, so it seems a waste of money.
